Facing Some Unpleasant Truths

Monkey Mind calls any information “bad” it doesn’t want to know. Some Shadow sides of Spiritual communities say things like, “we don’t want to be negative”, as the reason for silence.

The Universal DNA is coded with both Negative and Positive energies. It has been this way since time began. It is often the Negative energies, working with them, transmuting them that bring about the development of our positive energies.

Taking a look at “what is” doesn’t mean you agree with it. Looking deeply at “what is” doesn’t mean you are adding more negative energy to it (although I have seen plenty of well meaning folk do this when protesting some kind of moral lapse, like war, starvation and genocide).

Observing “what is” with out layering any kind of monkey mind (or ego if you prefer) on top of “what is” takes discipline and courage.explora-camera.jpg

The first act of discipline is to acknowledge you are not asked to like “what is”. You are asked to accept “this is what is happening now”. Ego has a field day with this. It loves to confuse the two, as this is the relinquishment of discipline and tacit permission for ego to get righteously indignant.

Jumping on the high horse of disapproval and trotting all around your mind, ego is in full control. Monkey mind is actually doing the very thing—adding negative energy—to the situation the Authentic Self would choose not to do. If, that is, the Authentic self was calling the shots.

Here is where courage needs to be activated. Courage is the tipping point between Power and Force. The Ego is always in force mode. No matter how dressed-up, cleaned up the ego can seem to mask a situation or circumstance: it is still force mode. Authentic Self, AKA Spirit is Power Mode.

Here is an example of what I mean:

Spirit uses Power                                          Ego uses force

Cherish                                                           Covets

Carefree                                                         Frivolous

Attractive                                                     Seductive

Honest                                                           Legal

Inviting                                                         Urging

Praising                                                         Flattering

The list can go on and on.

Standing in a circumstance and saying, “this may be legal, but it doesn’t feel honest” is acknowledging what is. It puts your Authentic Self in the position to take over your thinking. It is the sane responsible way to live.

I was asked by a reporter “why do people fall for get quick rich schemes? What makes them so gullible?”

Ego wants what it wants. Ego uses masks to justify what it wants. These masks call the want “good”. Ego is capable of rationalizing anything, anytime. People are gullible because that is their choice.

Being gullible of course leads to being a victim. One of the ego’s favorite states. The story of “me” the ego tells gets to be told again and again—sucking more precious life force into the vortex of insane monkey mind thinking.

We are all to the point in our time here on Earth School we know when something is off. I was “offered the opportunity of a lifetime” yesterday. I could be published alongside the “spiritual leaders of our time”. All I had to do? Pay $3,000.00 dollars, to start with. Of course it was called an investment. Then I would have instant creditability and be labeled a “guru”.

The sad thing, they were using names in the personal growth community that I respected. Supposedly these respected folks are endorsing this sell-out. (if you really want to know who they are, I put the link tweets ).

This is what appears to be happening. The Spiritual Community has lost it’s center. Being Spiritual is a new sell-out.

It’s legal, but it isn’t honest.
